Welcome to Sigrid’s Natural Foods!
For over 50 years, we’ve been proud to serve Kingston and the surrounding community as an independent, locally owned natural food store.
Our story began in the 1970s when Larry and Teresa Horner opened The Plain Food Store. The business was later purchased by Sigrid, who renamed it Sigrid’s Natural Foods and established the foundation for the store you know today. Ownership was then passed to Sigrid’s daughter, Brenda, before Dawna became the next owner. In May 2005, Dawna sold the store to Mathew Baccari, who continues to own the business today. In 2022, Chelsea Ryan became co-owner, proudly continuing the legacy of one of Kingston’s longest-standing natural food stores.
Although the store has changed hands over the years, we’ve remained committed to preserving what makes Sigrid’s special. Our beloved bee logo has been part of our identity for decades and continues to represent the tradition, community, and personalized service our customers have come to know and trust.
